The evenings are getting shorter now, in fact each day the sunset will be 2 minutes earlier than the previous day, so bear that in mind when planning your visit. We have 2 tournaments taking place at the course. The first one is the UK Womens DG Championships on Saturday 17th September, and the UKWDGA encourage any women players to take part, there will be a wide range of abilities and all are welcome. You can sign up here The focus is on women, but there are also divisions for men. We are not expecting a large number of players, so both courses remain open to the public.
The second tournament is on 24-25th September, and is a Masters tournament with divisions for players born in 1982 or earlier. This will have more than 50 competitors, and so the long course will be closed to the public, but the short course remains open on both days. You can register here
There is also a regular "League" night on Tuesdays, run by Paul and David, details here These guys may well be starting regular glow golf sessions when the league ends. Lights are attached to the baskets and players play with discs that glow in the dark, or have LED lights attached. Great fun, and a great way to get some mid-week fresh air and exercise if you are couped up indoors during daylight hours.
