The 2011 PDGA Disc Golf World Champions were crowned in California on 13th August. A maximum capacity field of 432 players were competing for a slice of the biggest ever tournament purse - a whopping US$105,000!! California's own Nate Doss took became only the 2nd person to win 3 World titles in the Open division. The Women's division was closely contested between Val Jenkins and Paige Pierce, with Paige coming out on top. A further 7 individual world champions were crowned in the other age/gender divisions.
